Happy Birthday, Jesus!

But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.

Micah 5:2

Greetings in the wonderful name of the Savior and Messiah, Jesus, the Christ and the Son of the living God! God’s blessing upon you, your family, your health, your finances and your goals and dreams!!! May you be completely blessed, through and through, to the glory of our great, holy and completely fantastic God, this Christmas and forever!

This is such a wonderful time of year, the time when we celebrate the birth of our Redeemer, Lord and coming King, Jesus! Emanuel, “God with us,” describes how great and glorious it is that the Son of God, the express image of the Father, came here to Earth.

We think it awesome that humans have walked on the moon. And it is amazing. Many even thought it was impossible—just like when Columbus sailed toward the “edge of the world”. Yet, it happened! And today, people launch into space, live there and do scientific research.

As great as this all is, it is NOTHING compared to the visit of the Maker of the earth, sun, moon and stars! The inventor of DNA came to earth—as a tiny baby! The designer of Mt. Everest was born—in a manger! The creator of the Bering Strait came—as a little child.  How blessed and favored we are by our Great and Glorious God of forever!

If you should ever hear a discouraging word, either from someone or in your own thinking, remember this: God thought you were important enough to send His Child here. And He gave all of us another day, TODAY, to learn to know Him better; to enjoy all the wonder of the Earth that He created; to learn to know and love other people; and, over time, to develop into one of His prize trophies!!!!

It all started with a birth in Bethlehem.

Why Bethlehem? What made it special? Why not Jerusalem, God’s holy city?

The answer is simply that Jesus was to be born of the line of King David and David was from Bethlehem. “Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?” John 7:42

Listen to the description of this “Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting” Micah 5:2:

“’Now therefore, thus shall you [the prophet Nathan] say to My [God’s] servant David, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts: “I took you from the sheepfold, from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people, over Israel. When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will set up you seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.” 2 Samuel 8:8, 12-13

And he [an angel] showed me [Jesus’ disciple, John] a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.” Revelation 22:1 Jesus, the Lamb of God, is pictured, here, ruling in the New Jerusalem. “…For the LORD hath chosen Zion [Jerusalem]; he hath desired it for his habitation. Psalm 132:13. Jesus, the King of love, will rule over all…whosoever will receive Him. We all are invited to be His. But you must make your reservation now. If you haven’t already, don’t wait. Hell is not worth it.
